A 3 year BHF-funded position (Grade 7, band 27) is currently available at the University of Birmingham with Dr Melanie Madhani to study the role of nitrite in cardioprotection. The position is suitable for someone with experience in Langendorff perfusion, cardiac physiology, ischemia-reperfusion injury, oxidate stress and cardioprotective signalling mechanisms.
